I went to Rochester, MN with Cindy yesterday. We did the usual antique shopping on the way down. I bought this for Brenda for $1. Bwa, she collects “state plates” for some reason. Anyway, hope she likes it.
I got laid off from my job today. Sigh. And that’s all I’m going to say about that.

I hate it when I don’t have anything funny to talk about but I’m going to post this anyway. Ha! A few years ago when I was working downtown I had a whole busload of people to scoff at and look down my nose at, but not this year. We had Stinky Cigarette Lady who stunk up the whole bus, Mushroom Hair Cut Lady whose white hair was cut in such a way that it looked just like; you guessed it, a white button mushroom. (more…)
Last night Bob told me that many writers have a specific time to just sit and write. Like say, every day from 7:00 to 2:00 or when they finish 17 pages or whatever. They write, I’m told, anything, even if it’s crap. Hmm…I thought, I can do that, I can write crap for several hours a day. So, let’s begin. (more…)
I’m one of those people who like to join Internet social networking groups and then never visit the site again. Let’s see, I’ve joined Facebook, Twitter, Metafilter, a snark board whose name I don’t remember, LinkedIn, and now I almost joined the P. G. Wodehouse Society in the U.K. Don’t ask, I don’t know why, I guess I thought it would be cool to be a member of a society in the U.K. Oh, and plus, I am an über fan of P. G. Wodehouse.
